Tip 1. Put your camera on auto everything and go out and take lots of pictures.

Tip 2. Learn everything there is to know about your camera and how to use it.

oops I was going to suggest getting off auto and learning what your camera can do.
Well I guess there are lots of way of learning!

Em,

You know what it's like reading an instruction manual boring and confusing, if we did that before taking any photo's some may just give up before they even start. Best get out and use the camera after all, that's what it's for, and this will stimulate the urge to learn more, (and join Yo of course).

Well i am quite new to taking photos , and i would say "enjoy" what you are doing , and try and learn and improve as you go along.
Its far to easy to try and do it all at once and spend more time worrying about what you are doing than taking photos .
I do still use auto a lot of the time but i am gaining confidence and hopefully i shall improve . (eventually)

Get a note book and write down what different buttons do and what they mean, also any tips you have picked up for different situations, then remember to take it everywhere with you
