Re: Swans on the River Wye.

I love the series Hayley. I would have increased the brightness and a touch more contrast to set the swan apart from the background more. I submit this example of what I mean.

Re: Swans on the River Wye.

The first really caught my eye, the lighting has IMO really added to the shot giving a soft and mellow feel although I do think that the treatment given by Bob has improved it although I would not wish it taken too far.

It seems an ideal light to take shots of these white birds, was trying in bright light yesterday and it was difficult, if not impossible, to get the exposure correct. The only one that could have done with more light or more exposure was the last that has lost detail through lack of light. Well done.

Re: Swans on the River Wye.

Thanks for the replies I really like that Bob, I know they are a little dark in the background as it was in the evening and I liked the affect but now I have seen your version I see it is better,, I will have a play with some other shots.
Thanks again.

Re: Swans on the River Wye.

I like the first one Hayley, a tad under exposed for some, but I like it, I like the lighting and the "pinkness" on the water.
