Climb (or photograph) every mountain.

'Many' years ago I started climbing 'the munro's' (Scottish mountains over 3000 feet) and having put a fair old dent in the list I thought I may (in tandem) try a photo mission.

I've probably got a lot of them and lots of some of them but I've decided I'm going to try and get a 'best set' put together of all 289.

The plan is to have one single 'best' shot of each one.

No doubt it will take me an age but what the hell - it will get me out to the places I love without all the fuss of killing myself climbing them.

Re: Climb (or photograph) every mountain.

That is a good plan and will combine two of your hobbies, never know could become a supplement to your income, there must be organisations that require good images of mountains.

Re: Climb (or photograph) every mountain.

What a fantastic idea, good luck!!

You know, it would make a lovely book maybe if you kept a notebook and made notes at each mountain to go with the pics.

Could you start a thread with some of your fave pics, so we can see some of them

Re: Climb (or photograph) every mountain.

A lot of hobbies lend themselves to packing a camera. My other hobbies, motorcycling & computers, really go well with photography. With the exception of shopping I always try to have a camera with me as I ride. Keep enjoying your passion & post lots of pics.

Re: Climb (or photograph) every mountain.

Judging by your kit list, I'd say that's some weight you will have to lug about with you up those hills - you have my sympathy. Good luck.
