Get the fifty , used mine properly for the first time yesterday, and it is great! Got some portraits I am really happy with, and when I was finished, had a wander about with it, and again, got some stuff I am really happy with.

I'm very much looking forward to getting a 50mm 1.4 - which is something I've been after for a while - of course, with moving again it's going to be a while before I can build up my funds for D700 + 50mm lens - but hopefully sometime this year!
