Any good places to go in Wales? (For photography)

Well South Wales to be exact

I think I'm running out of places to go - I know there are lots of lovely walks/mountains etc here but I fancy something different... perhaps a botanic gardens?

Anyone know of any nice places to go around here? (or, anywhere within an hours drive of Cardiff)

Does the millenium stadium do tours? As you I think there would be some good shots to be had there, if not I reckon you could get some good ones from the outside.

Thanks Stu! Look forward to seeing which one you're thinking of!

Stormey - I've driven past a few times and thought 'wish I had my camera!' will have to try and make a special trip... maybe when it's warmer

I'd say it would be worth it, I have got some good shots of old trafford, back in the days of film, I keep meaning to get some outdoor shots one day.

I have just looked they do tours.

Re: Any good places to go in Wales? (For photography)

One place that springs to mind in Swansea......... Plantasia !

Never went there with the camera but come to think of it......it would be ideal whatever the weather.

Quote...

Plantasia is a massive glass Tropical hothouse pyramid located in Parc Tawe, right in the centre of Swansea. It features three climatic zones, tropical, arid and humid. There are over 5,000 unusual exotic plants including rare specimens such as the endangered Cowboy Cactus, an Agave from the deserts of America, and the African Violet Orchid which originates from the Montane forests of Tanzania and is now classified as endangered in the wild.

The tropical theme is enhanced by free-flying butterflies in the Butterfly House and a colony of endangered tamarind monkeys.

You should be OK if you like to be snap in 'private' - always suited us for a kiss and a cuddle LOL !

In addition you have the Marina (a few mins walk) which would also be great as there's loads of nice boats and buildings.

Just a thought.
