Re: BMX ing [my new venture]

Think there is room for all types of photography, the kid on a bike wants a shot that looks like them and what they are doing, ok taken from low down may make them look better than they are but thats allowed. The more professional will want shots of themselves that are suitable for the magazines or publicity and PP and dramatic lighting is what is required.

Tommy's work is too dramatic for your kids in the park approach but some of his compositions and angles are well worth the studying. There is room for both types of work this is the same subject although at different levels.

Re: BMX ing [my new venture]

It is a shame you feel like that Jols, not all shots need or would benefit from PP but there are some that do and it can be good fun to turn an ok shot into a good one. To say nothing of the pleasure it can offer if you take a shot with the PP in mind, do the processing on it and finish up with just what you envisaged, very satisfying.

Most processing only takes a few moments to do and then if you like the result you can do it with more care, still it is up to you but I feel you are missing out on something by not coming to grips with the PP.
