Re: Machynlleth in mid wales

They are lovely shots and the colour intensity is a matter of personal taste. The filter you used may have intensified the colour and that is not a problem as if you have good strong colour is you want to you can tone it down, not so easy to increase it which I sometimes wonder is the reason people feel the need to present greyscale or mono landscape shots of natural scenery.

Re: Machynlleth in mid wales

thanks everyone !
i have tone the images down but i still prefer the original green ! lol
what do you think ?

snapper i know what you mean,i hate changing colour incase i spoil the whole thing although i do like mono but it depend on the image .
it then just the matter of rotating the polarizing the filter the right position which was differcult to do !

GTa86 ....thanks for pointing that out mind i have been reminded about this before and i was too lazy to sort it out on photoshop lol! having trouble to clean it sadly .

Re: Machynlleth in mid wales

I like the set Clairlou. As others have said color intensity is a matter of personal taste. Since this is your first use of a polarizing filter I'm sure you now know the drastic difference it can make with the sky. I've never known one to adversely affect foliage or grass color. If you feel they are too "hot" a small adjustment of the saturation level will take care of that. Again, if you are happy with the colors that's all that matters. Ask 15 people & you'll get 15 different opinions. Great job!
