Farne Islands
In 2009, whilst on holiday in Northumberland, I took a trip to the Farne Islands, one of the largest bird colonies in the British Isle. The minute you step ashore you are attacked by Terns. These birds are very aggressive, they dive at you and peck your head hard enough to draw blood. A hat is an absolute must. To cut the story short, I copied the images to a DVD which I prompty lost but not before I made a slideshow from my pix on another disc. The slideshow is an executable file made with Pictures 2 exe, a no no for showing on YoP. I suppose I could have run the file and used a screen grabber to extract the images one at a time but that would be rather tedious. I wanted to share these picures with you and cast around for a solution and found Dropbox a FREE file hosting/sharing program which allows you to upload exe files. So, if you are up for a trip to the Farne Islands you can now download the file (just under 10 Mb) and view the slides at your leisure.

It looks like a great place to visit, I love the bird shots and the light house is beautiful, they all was very enjoyable
