Common garden spider
With these 2 shots i decided to use a sheet of white paper for a high key background to help show greater detail of the spider...

Don't worry, it hadn't crossed my mind that you had killed it. I wondered if you had found a dead one.
My son has taken to collecting dead bees etc so that he can try setting up macro shots! The big cheater!

Thnx again for the comments...what gave me the chance to take shots of great detail was because the spider seemed go all limp as if playing dead.
