Number 2 looks like he (or she) has his eye on something at just look at those huge feet! Perhaps a shame the one foot is slightly out of frame - I think this pic would also work well cropped 'portrait' straight up between the front legs ?
Number 1 - Love the dof - Our Murphy has that big long chin and it's what we (or Hannah) calls a Simba face.
As for your comment re the lighting - I like it

Thanks both appreciated. I do like them now, just a few years ago I thought the light was wrong, but I like it much better now!
