Re: Yellowhammer and Chaffinchs

Yellowhammers are cracking little birds. I have a pair visit the garden feeders but I keep missing them. Number 1 is the pick of the bunch for me.

Mr and Mrs Chaffinch in the one shot - a nice bonus.

Re: Yellowhammer and Chaffinchs

Thanks Phil. It perched nice and still for me twice. Only went when I got a little too close.

Re: Yellowhammer and Chaffinchs

Havn't seen a yellow hammer bird here for a long time, such a colourful bird as well.

Re: Yellowhammer and Chaffinchs

Often see them at home in Norfolk. First time I've been in the right place at the right time with the camera.

Re: Yellowhammer and Chaffinchs

Funnily enough I don't remember ever seeing a yellow hammer, until visiting Argyll 2 weeks ago, saw quite a few of them at Loch Sunart.
Excellent pics Richard, love the blurred green background.
