Hiding Out

NO CRITIQUES PLEASE!!!

I really feel sorry for the zoo animals sometimes, especially the apes that have a higher IQ than most animals. They are a very family oriented group that must feel extremely self conscious with all the human visitors gawking at them. This female orangutan deliberately pulled this piece of strofoam over her entire body in an attempt to hide from sight. I caught her as she “peeked” out at me. I just simply love the expression on her face and the understanding in her eyes. She seems more than a dumb monkey.

Thank you. I love that my processing gives the photograph a "painting" look & feel. I'm in a creative phase of photography these days. Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment.

Re: Hiding Out

This is quite simply breathtaking. I instantly bonded with the emotive feelings from this shot. I totally agree that various members of the primate family have a very high intelligence level.

cheers Marion

Re: Hiding Out

I think you captured something poignant there Bob, a reminder to us all - that animals are not meant to be caged and put on 'display' like some sort of circus. They're meant to run free, and be respected.
