A few pigeons!

Taken in a friends garden, they were perched in the tree. Though this was a different view of them, lol

Re: A few pigeons!

I like the fact that they are taken from a different vantage point , than normal.

My fave is the second, it is sort of a cat's eye view, of a cat sat on the ground, lik ethe way they are framed by the twigs too.

Re: A few pigeons!

I think the 2nd one is best too - but on the whole I don't think photographing birds from underneath works so well, I think it's because there's little connection with the subject?

Re: A few pigeons!

Strange, I have been trying this too Eileen but so far I have not managed anything that looks pigeon, perhaps I can blame the sun, still of the two I would rather the sun

Re: A few pigeons!

Aww, very nice! Especially the 2nd one, the pigeon looks almost cuddly!

Looks like a bit of a dangerous place to be standing, very much in the "fall out" zone!

Re: A few pigeons!

Nice shots.

You're braver than me standing under a pigeon.

We've a few nesting in the big trees at the bottom of the garden and they drive the dogs demented.

Re: A few pigeons!

I quite like them - though on number one DoF needs to be a bit greater. On the whole a very good stab at it though, and you're braver than me!
