Taken in the Botanical Gardens - Spain

Editing problem here, although the sky has colour when reflected in the water it does not between the trees. Tried once or twice to add some colour but with no success, help please.

See my recent post on a similar subject. Lots of useful advice given. ND grad filter, triple/double exposing would be the most feasible solutions.

That's a shame, do you know I am just looking at some tree pics I took , everything is exposed well, and then part of the sky is totally over exposed

Still a great pic though, have you tried to add a filter in PS, as a fix?

Re: Taken in the Botanical Gardens - Spain

Thanks Jack was hoping for a editing fix if poss although I may look into a graduated filter, at the moment I only own a couple of Polaroid ones. More expence.

Hi Suzi, yes, did try a couple of filters with no luck also tried a graduated layer but not really sure how I should use that, must find time to read the book but now I have the new camera I can't see that happening for a while.

Nice shot Snapper, here's JRs thread: http://www.yophotographer.com/page.php?t=5643

With regards to editing you could work with layers and painstakingly add the sky detail where you want, perhaps cloning from another sky pic..

Re: Taken in the Botanical Gardens - Spain

Rather then faffing in PS masking and filling in - you could set a coloured grad fill layer and reduce the opacity until it blends well. 10 min job.
