Your picture per se isnt under-exposed; only parts of it are. Be careful changing exposure as you can then lose the colour saturation too. Have you got an EV setting on your camera?

I've adjusted levels and dodged/burned key areas to lift the relief and add lightness to the appropriate areas, and add the missing drama.

All-in-all, it's down to personal preference what pleases the eye.

PS: I didnt realise there was a church smack in the middle of your picture until I started to adjust the levels.

jack i like what you have done and made the hills looks more "bumpy"
yes there is a small church there but sadly my lense wont reach so i will pop over there one day
