EXIF data

When asked about it......I've often gone into photoshop, opened the picture in question and looked up the EXIF data only to find there's no easy way to save or swipe the data to put into a reply post.

Is there an easier way than checking and manually typing it into the reply ?

Hi Phil, the exif data will be saved automatically from the original file when you select "save as" rather than "save for web" (which I normally do) and if the file is 8bit, to jpg.

To view this exif data that has been saved/embedded you need a Exif viewer and/or IE/firefox plugin. I use Opando which is free and once installed is easy to retrieve exif information (if its been saved in the first place) just by right clicking with your mouse on any picture posted here and selecting "View Exif".

Here is a direct download for Opando Iexif 2.3 for anyone interested

Re: EXIF data

Cheers DJ. That sounds a bit quicker than opening in photoshop every time.
