Hi Gordon

Only Hoya uses the filter factor # on there filters, e'g ND2 = 1 stop reduction,
ND4 = 2 stop, ND8 = 3 stop reduction.

B+W (my filters) code theirs with the optical density #, e.g my 6 stop reduction (1.8) has a filter factor of 64, my 10 stop (3.0) has a filter factor of 1024.
