Yes it worked just fine Greyhawk, although I had tried it out first on my night shots of the Clyde Arc bridge in Glasgow, over a week ago.
Focusing with the 400mm plus 1.4 teleconverter using live view on the moon(magnified 10x) was a bit tricky because the slightest vibration/touch of the lens would make the whole image wobble on the live view screen, so I tried adding weight to my manfrotto tripod (a hammer) which helped a little.
If I used my Skywatcher HEQ5 pro motorised mount and tripod then there would have been no wobbly images at all, but of course its very heavy and would have been to much bother setting up just for a couple of moon shots.
