Help me here

I have the feeling that this could be a great shot, but I am at a loss as to how to rescue it.

Please feel free to post-process it and re-post, if you think it is worth saving.

Re: Help me here

Think it would take some doing to correct it if at all possible. There are a couple of problems that would need to be sorted. First the presumably snow flakes are not only masking the image behind but also causing a lens reflection colour. The other problem is even if that was sorted we have no idea on the lads hair line and would have to be guessed at.
If I were you I would leave as is and take it as a learning curve. Should you have the chance to do a reshoot then standing back further with a longer lens may well be the answer, it looks as if the problem was the lad causing the flakes to rise .

Re: Help me here

Bazza, the snowflakes are water droplets on the lens of the waterproof point and shoot camera. I was in the swimming pool that he was sliding into.

Re: Help me here

I stand corrected Sorry. At least you are aware of the problems with water droplets and working in say the rain you will remember to use something to cover over the lens.

Re: Help me here

A quick shot at improvement only (Mostly Levels, curves) The water droplets on the lens are the main problem and will take time and expertise which I lack.

Re: Help me here

Large spots like those are quite difficult to recover from Gav, because the information does not exist and it would have to be recreated.

Your best bet would be a re-take if that's possible
