Re: Anyone use film aswell?

Don't I keep a load of old camera gear? Why I just don't know.

Now how about this as a beast of a lens

650mm-1300mm and with 2x magnifier up to 2600mm with a Nikon adapter (works but in poor condition paint flaking off thats all)

I have put the mouse there as a comparison.

Re: Anyone use film aswell?

That huge monster lens I am willing to sell, its an Opteka completely manual push/pull set up for distance great for photos of the moon. Infact the only real problem of taking a moon shot with it is you can get so close the moon moves out of shot too quickly. No worries about it working on even a D40 as there are no motors or electrical contacts to worry about. I do have the case for both the lens and 2x magnifier to go with it. Could be used on any other camera make with the right connector easily bought and not expensive.

No i havn't used it for looking into windows over a mile away, but you could easily.

Taken with the D70s (6meg pix ) and edited a wee bit, but gives some idea of how close it will go.

Currently being sold on ebay for a buy it now price of £139.95 +£40p/p = £180 approx

I would let mine go far cheaper than that price.

Suzi

With that lens you could even keep an eye on the other half in the pub.

Okay here is my bit of treasure from the loft

It weighs a ton , especially the 80- 200mm lens, the whole lot is metal.
Zenit were Russian cameras weren't they??

I believe so. Couldn't you have used those instead of buying off ebay? Good enough for any photographic classes.

Re: Anyone use film aswell?

At this rate we should have an antique camera section.

Er, no

I am not even sure if it works properly.

Great to play around with, but I don't think it would be good enough for the course.

there is a good chance I am going to be the oldest on the course without turning up with an antique

What i can't get my head around is why these courses still included film cameras, I would have thought the time far better spent teaching Adobe.
