Re: Trash the dress????

Sammy those are gorgeous shots, I love them. I saw some somewhere where the bride attcks the dress with scissors, and throws the material up in the air, they were great!

I think I would rather do these type of shoots, than the actual weddings

Jols do you have a nice waterfall near you?

I still like the pig farm idea

Re: Trash the dress????

I have had a call from the bride in question and her mother has told her that she paid for the dress so it belongs to her .

I told her I did'nt want to get involved in a family arguement so she best speak to her mother if she really really wants these pics.

I left it at that but I have other brides that I am going to approach about doing a session.

My friend has said I could buy a second hand dress from a charity shop and she would model it so that is another option for a shoot. She is a good dressmaker so the dress could be altered.

So I am still on it and would like to get one shoot done before the start of next years wedding season.

I would like to do two shoots one a gentle trash the dress and one full on down the pig farm shoot.

Re: Trash the dress????

I have had another idea to get my friend dressed up and do the trash the dress at the 'banger racing' she goes to with her boyfriend.

Re: Trash the dress????

I am getting married next year and my photographer showed me some of his "trash the dress" shots ... not all of them actually harmed the dress it was just a chance to take pics outside of the traditional wedding context. I am going to have a tress the dress session as I want pics of me, my oh and my little girl with our 4 dogs so that we can have a proper "family" picture .... the dogs though probably will trash the dress ... but I am not bothered it is not like I am going to wear it again!!
