It was my 1st visit to this place Laura, i always expect lakes/ponds to be teaming with wildlife but i am beginning to realize that its not so. Maybe busier during migration but rest of the year its quiet. Lovely weather and great light, just not many feathered subjects to photograph, although was happy with the Kingfisher

I am just jealous that I haven't even seen a Kingfisher never mind caught one on camera, I have heard they are so quick so well done mate..

I had never even seen one up to a few weeks ago Owen. The one yesterday was happy in its own habitat, and as you can see it is quite a distance away from the hide so it would`nt get disturbed by us humans It probably would of shown well all day long I think 20 minutes was just about enough time watching it.
