Re: Are there advantages in shooting RAW

Phil, you should have had some software callled Picture project with the D50 - that allows for vey basic editing of RAW files. If you havnt got it, try googling and it will bring up loads of info for it.

Yes I do - see my post before yours. I'll have to go back and look at it.

Re: Are there advantages in shooting RAW

I don't often shoot in RAW, but it depends on what I want from the photo. Most of the time I use JPEG

Re: Are there advantages in shooting RAW

Phil I have Canon Zoombrowser with my Ixus but have never used it as I just download into my pictures from the camera and then put any I want to store on Photobucket and when I am ready just take the card into work and print off and add a CD so what you are saying is this will convert my images to RAW if wanted? also has anyone got any info on Adobe 5 or a good Photoshop type thingy thats not too expensive I looked at Gimp. but my computer is realitively old and slow even though running on broadband and am a bit worried as to downloading too much and slowing it down even more...
Hope you can make head or tail of what I have put in this and perhaps you can understand that I am no computer buff...hehe
