It is an awesome bit of kit, but not that revolutionary step on from your D200 though Bazza.

Thanks Lambrini Girl, I would highly recommend this place only £3.50 but you get so close to the birds. Not worth a massive commute to get there but if you live within 50 miles or so well worth it.

The 55-200 is a cracking lens, got mine just after I got my D40 and the shots I got I was very happy with. Some of the ones I posted in the fave piccies thread were taken with it.

I have just gone Mac with my computer tastes and haven't got PS yet so playing about with a free version of Apple's apperture to work on 1 of the shots on the first page of this thread.

Thoughts on this please?

Yeah, I have a thought on that one Ste, its bloody ace! The crispness of the Birds body is excellent, and I like the blur on his wings, gives the impression of strength and speed.

I think when we get more members we can start have X lens thread - and hopefully we can easily get to see pics take with it
