Re: The New Brighton Lighthouse

thats a great picture - well composed and nice mono treatment. But you have a touch of the 'Jackitis' (your horizon is slightly unlevel. That in itself wouldnt be too bad, but it makes the lighthouse look like its canting to the right - or is it?

Re: The New Brighton Lighthouse

It's the lighthouse

I know what you mean but when I tried to slightly level the lighthouse out, the horizon looked more wonky

So, let's say the lighthouse is wonky, shall we? xxxx

Thank you, Snaps,oh do you come from around here? It's a great beach for the dogs, excellent fish and chips too

Right I will go and do it now,

I have only slightly straightened it, if I go too much the horizon looks worse. Is that better?

No Suzi, I'm a cockney, but I have worked in the area a few times and looking at local lighthouses was one of the things you do on your time off.

Re: The New Brighton Lighthouse

Ah I see, there a few lighthouses round here I come from down south too really, Oxford.so no lighthouses there

There is a great lighthouse in North Wales on this really quiet beach, and I can't for the life of me, remember what the place is called

Re: The New Brighton Lighthouse

Strange the appeal of an empty beach, like to visit the beaches around here in the winter months, bleak, empty and beautiful.

Don't think I know or have seen Talacre but spent a few weeks at the theatre in Llandudno and that was a memorable experience, they have such huge gulls there and on the Gt Orm. (not sure how it is spelt)

Very nice, works really well in mono, I like the cargo looking ship lurking in the background too

You must have a really long lens to have got that from where you live
