Re: Hakari Rising

I'd like to do a band so great opportunity. I think No.2 is the best and as JR says, it could be PP'd to get the best from it. The fingers on the guitar, again need some PP work to get the best from it. Some good ideas there.

I don't think all the pictures work, the microphone somehow needs a strong grippy hand or something but it looks a little awkward. The guns and roses guy somehow looks like he is trying too hard not to smile and look like a rocker. I think he would be best in a different pose. I wasn't sure the whole image suited what you said they play though. The pics are sort of grunge rock (well they would be with maybe more contrast and grain) but the band are more 'feel good rock'. Maybe I have the wrong impression but get the band telling jokes, laughing and it maybe would work better if they are more light rock and fun, could still work in the same location. Only an idea. Techically then more control over the blown whites as it doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the PP.

Overall I think it's a good effort, takes some courage when you suddenly have 4 people waiting for some direction once you get there. I reckon you have 2 or 3 good shots there you could make a CD cover or a poster from. Good!

Re: Hakari Rising

Thank you BC, It was my first time, so was unsure of myself, I was really following behind Bitblonde, If I get the chance to do it again, and with them all knowing we were gonna be there....breakdown in communication! I think it will go better, its only after I was home that I thought of different things they could have done, these were shot in their break so was a bit short on time too. But I hope a good first try!
