If shooting raw images I would not bother in setting white balance and leave it set to to auto white balance on the camera as this will be taken care of at the raw processing stage.

And I am going to go against all the very good advice given above in saying, try different settings, break the rules and use different lenses. Most brilliant landscape images that really stand out are ones that break the rules slightly.

I agree with most of the comments, bar one. There's no need to select an aperture of F22. There is a sweet spot on all lenses between wide open and closed down fully, usually around f8 or f11. If you use hyperfocal focussing you will find that you can focus on a point in front of you and obtain sharp focus out to infinity, whilst maintaining the best performance aperture for your lens.
