Re: Sepia Castle

That`s one place I am determined to visit one day, [ blame Highlander ], love the panoramic type crop/view, lovely and sharp, spot on depth, and being sepia as well, which I love, nails it as a top notch photo

Re: Sepia Castle

I prefer the second of the two, the composition really works with this sort of letter box crop. Do feel they both lack contrast in the buildings and leave me wanting to switch the light on. (may be my monitor)

Not deliberately trying to be critical but as you asked for a C&C I thought I should tell you how I feel about the shots and I feel the second has great potential but lacks any detail.

Thank you, indeed I did ask for C&C, that's how we improve! The day was very murky and the original pictures were pretty dire, the sepia transformed then into semi-decent images, which I thought worked well! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the next time I get there, the sun will shine for me!

Re: Sepia Castle

What you say is only too true Eileen, we, the viewer sees what is placed before us and do not consider the difficulties the photographer may have had. I don't see anyway round it and wonder if the viewer should consider the conditions really, think perhaps they should comment on what they see. But I am glad you are not put out.
