If you can, hang on till the rebates/cashback offers come back again - I got £60 of my Nikon D40 (and Canon were offering £50 of their 400ds at the time too). I might be wrong but they usually have them on around once a year - perhaps someone can confirm?

yeah we just missed the £50 cashback but as we got a really good deal from Curry's couldn't grumble My husband is disabled so doesn't have a lot of choice my hobbies are his too hehe (only joking he loves photography too) but because he can't walk far and we both love landscapes we miss out a lot as the piccies have to be taken from the roadside or just a little way off road but we still usually manage to get a half decent piccie... Azz we haven't looked into it a lot about using our EOS film lenses but we were told that you could use them but with reduced funtionality we have a whole host of filters too and the supplied lens is a 58mm the same but don't really know a lot about using filters with digital camera's... This is going to be a big learning curve for me and I am really looking forward to it...

The 400D is a great camera... I had mine from February until last week... I really enjoyed using it!! And I think I got some nice results out of it.. What lens did you choose with it?

We have only got the kit lens of 18/55 but are hoping soon to get a bigger top end one
