Re: Clas Ohlson commercial

I hope you don't mind C and C - I always seem to give it to you when I wouldn't anyone else! I guess its because you work to such a high standard!

My personal opinion is that lighting on his face doesn't work.
The colour of his face seems really unnatural and the lighting feels too harsh.

Nice work Tommy. I see what LM is saying about the lighting (although I don't mind it myself) but I do wish the guy was standing up straight kinda reminds me of the leaning tower of pisa

Re: Clas Ohlson commercial

Not bad at all, shame that the light is a bit to bright on the right side, but I quite like the shot on the whole and it's definitely doing what it's supposed to and that's advertising.

Re: Clas Ohlson commercial

Hmm - I think it's generally too busy, and confusing, and I don't get what it's advertising at all - I have to look for that. I think the lighting is too harsh on the face, bleaching it out - and tbh - I'm not a fan of this one Tommy, sorry!

Re: Clas Ohlson commercial

I have to agree. The lighting / editing is a bit too harsh. I think the contrast is way too high.
That works for your other shots, the promotional shots of bands, and your snowboarding shots, because that style fits that subject matter better.
I don't think that style sits well in this particular shot though.

Again, because of the lighting, the eye is drawn to the guys face, rather than the products he is carrying, which if I'm not mistaken, should be the entire point of the shoot, to show off the goods.

But, as the photographer, if you're happy with it, and the client is happy with it, then it doesn't really matter, does it?
