An evening in Southend...
Went for a drive to Southend last weekend - here's a few of the shots I came back with...

A great selection.
I think my favourites are the 9th one of the lamp posts, the 21st one of the fireworks against the black sky and the last one.

lovely shots... my faves are the last 2 with the rollercoaster!!
The firework display happens every saturday from about september i think up to and around Firework night... Its a fireworks company that uses Southend to test their displays and new fireworks (thats what i was told anyway).

Thanks for the comments so far... Do you live in Southend then Becky?
I think there are some nice shots in there considering the majority of the pier, fairground and fireworks ones were totally hand held at ISO 1600... when it was getting rather dark. I would have loved to have gotten better firework shots - but handheld for long exposures tends to fail miserably...
