Re: Nikon D4, already!?

So...what.. the frame's going to get even fuller?

Maybe it'll have integrated GPS, 1080p video capture, and 15 FPS FX RAW burst rate? I'm interested to see where this goes.

As daft as it seems I think it will.

Apologies if I'm barking up the wrong tree (the link isnt working) so delete if I'm wrong but the comment - about full frame getting fuller..................

What is full ?

Full is simply the equiv top 35mm neg

There's loads of negs used & proven bigger and better than 35mm in 'film' so what's the big deal about 'full' frame.

For us digital folk the words 'full frame' imply that we've reached some digital optimum level which isn't really true. Full frame digital is simply equal to 35mm negative which if were honest is small compared to many formats.

You're completely right. My sarcasm is a little thick sometimes, so apologies for that.

What i meant about the frame getting fuller is: if a new sensor is developed--let's call it Nikon MX Frame--are Nikon going to put out a new crop (pun intended) of ..."MX" Frame lenses? I'd imagine that if they put out a new sensor system, that they will have to fully commit to a line of new lenses to match.

Or am i being dense about this?

The rest of the spec predictions i made, i was pretty serious about.

Yeah, especially if they're all optioned out with N Coated Super Low Dispersion G AF-S VR-III

Nikon has the potential to make a truly great medium format camera....that only the likes of Anne Liebowitz could afford.

Re: Nikon D4, already!?

I could afford one!

if I won the lottery - which I don't play...

Seriously - more than anything I want a Medium Format (Mamiya or Hasselblad) with a phase one - preferably P65+
