The modules are:
1. Cameras and Lenses
2. Shutter, Aperture and their relationship
3: Exposure and metering
4. Film and metering
5. Light and Colour
6. Lighting - daylight and artificial
7. How to take better photos
8. Equipment and Software
9. Retouching, Resolution and printing
10. The studio
11. How to construct a professional portfolio
12. Photo Agents, Picture agencies and how to get work

The link to the site is here: http://www.thephotographyinstitute.c...m?content=home

So do you think i should????

Re: Thinking of signing up...

I have no idea if it's a good course or not, at the moment all that is way beyond me , but, you seem pretty keen on it, if my memory serves me right, you want to eventually do photography professionally, then in my mind it's a step in the right direction and to end up with a dimploma can only be good, your work is already brilliant imo, so I can't see it being a struggle for you, if it's what you want, then go for it

Re: Thinking of signing up...

nks CLMG - i thinkit would benefit me in the long term and looking at the T&Cs it has a 7 day no obligation time, during which you may examine the first two tutorials and first assignment. If you dont like what you see, then you can cancel for a full refund

Re: Thinking of signing up...

I would do a search for the courses on the web.. and see if anyones been on it and what they think of it, whether they think it was worth it, is it a recognised qualification etc.

They only have 4 testimonials on their site, that's not many at all really...

But I would have thought photography would be a carear/profession that would not be soley relient on qualifcations and more what you can do and show you can do.

Re: Thinking of signing up...

I think the idea is very good and certainly something worth pursuing, however I don't know how good that particular course is. They do seem to cover all the basics, however it might be wise to do some digging into what their qualification is actually worth.
