It is lovely - I am tempted to set up a feeding station in an attempt to get some photo's of birds

What I fill the feeders with is sunflower hearts they seem to like them the best. To get the photos I set up the camera on a tripod and a remote switch, can be found in e-bay for about £10 or so plus postage. The range is about 30/40 ft which is sufficient to allow one to get far enough away. It doesn't take long for the birds to get used to a strange object close to the feeders. Ok you may have to take several pics to get like the above, I did, but with the camera on auto focus,same with auto W/B due to it going cloudy/sunny,you should be able to get some good closeups. Don't forget to protect the camera/lens cause birds do what they got to do and 10/1 it will be on your equipment.

Bazza uses "Sunflower hearts" in case anyone goes and buys sunflower seeds, they wont go for them with the shells on. Most Finch types seem to love them.
