One thing to remember is that the more megapixels there are it doesn't guarantee a 'better' camera... You could get a far better 8MP camera than a 10MP camera based on their comparative features, quality of lenses etc. It's easy to think that just because it has more megapixels that it's a better camera. Hope that helps someone when they consider a new camera... (Just look at some of the cheaper Vivitar point and shoot compacts - they boast loads of megapixels - but actually take some pretty poor shots)
