Re: Photos from new Nikon D60

Hi Flight,

Just keep practising with it, my hands shook so much when I got my Oly, in excitement I think, the first few days shots were blurry

I actually like the second hedgehog pic

PS they really aren't that bad

Have tons of fun xx

Re: Photos from new Nikon D60

Thanks guys, there ok-ish.. My least fave is the dog pic, its the most blurred. As for the others, I think its the lighting, the hedgehog pics are ok as they were taken in the room with the most light in, I tried using the flash on the first pic but it didnt look right Im just experimenting at the moment anyway, trying to get used to all the buttons and things, well I suppose I cant be too hard on myself Ive not even started my course yet It'll be good to compare these pics with the ones Ive taken in 2 years time.

If you are doing low light photography, get something to rest your camera on like a mini bean bag

Btw pic 4 is iso 1400, that's pretty neat

Flight, your exposure times aare massivly slow for handheld! (1/8) you shouldnt really go less than 1/6o, even 1/125, this is why your shots are blurry

Re: Photos from new Nikon D60

Don't forget to set your dioptic on/next to your viewfinder to suit your eyesight. If you don't when using manual settings the picture may look sharp in the viewfinder but the lens will see somthing blurred. There should be either a dial or slider to do the adjustment according to the instruction book which you should look at to set it up correctly.
