I just HATE it when folks post watermarked pics here
Can I ask why it bothers you, when people put watermark on their pics? For example, I find it absolutely normal to put watermarks on my images.
Before I did, I did find my images too often stolen used as e-cards or even somebody elses work (for example on Deviantart). Very often also the images of dogs get misused on various "virtual stables", "virtual pet homes" etc. I hate it to have people stealing my images and once the image is out on the internet, no matter where, there is not much control over who copies it and where it might end up.
At least, if there is watermark, it carries the information out and the images becomes sort of advertisement for the photographer, too. Unless somebody does not delete the watermark, in which case thereīs still ITPC info and exif

Jols donīt stress. Creating watermark in Photoshop is very easy, anyone can do that. Itīs best explained in chat though, so if you use gmail or Skype, send me private message and I can explain it to you step by step, while we both are at the PC and Photoshop open.

I think she means the same as me: the big ugly watermarks going across the middle of the image. The watermarks on your images are more like your 'signature' which to me is very different especially when thought has been put into it and it is a nicely 'designed' logo or sig, then I think it is fine, and sometimes complimentary (like yours )

Yes, I agree, a watermark across middle of the image is a real killer. Nothing nice about it, too.

But a nice one somewhere in the corner, where it does not disturb, but yet carries the message, nothing wrong with those.

Thanks for support.

Re: Watermarking

Dawn forgot to mention I lent her the editing suite to download from disc and have just ordered an updated version as well purely because it has an excellent stitching program added. so much easier than other editing suites and I think just as good.

http://shop.ebay.co.uk/items/__micro...286.m104.l1199

Go to bottom of page and it can be purchased for under Ģ25 including p/p.

Anyway thats the upgraded version I am getting

Re: Watermarking

I have to say this is why I want to write on mine. Already one of the original males that we imported in this country is on a website from Mexico stating that he's had a litter of pups, it's amazing what can happen these days, male dogs having pups!!

Another photo from my website which is by a prof. photographer is now showing on a dog website.
