Flowers in the lake
A clump of Water Hyacinths in the lake...some one must have thrown them there as there was none ever before...they become a miserable nuisance, clogging up any water and making it unusable for boating or fishing and in time causes the lakes to dry up with their roots making soil...not liked here in Florida...large dredges are used to harvest them and dump them into trucks to clean up the lakes...they have to do that every year at Cooter Pond in town. The water Lotus that were here are nowunder many feet of water...the Ranger told me they can survive up to 10 years, until the water recedes and they can return to bloom again.

Love that first one, would that be a Roseate Spoonbill in the second ?

Yes, it is, Mossy..6 of them were there for 2 months, then left and not returned. When the lake was so low it had many more birds then it does now that ir is full. Still, it looks good to me with all the water! Shirley
