Re: Idaho schoolhouse

Nicely captured without over-cooking the processing. I love old buildings like this, especially when isolated in such an interesting setting. Well done!

Re: Idaho schoolhouse

thanks everyone. odd story about this place.. in april 2010, when i first started messing around with photomanips, i used stock photo in one of my pieces. it was an old building that was run down and dilapidated. so i was a bit surprised to find out that the same building would be just a few miles off of our planned vacation route last october according to the photos option on google maps. it looks the same - apart from a missing chimney.

Re: Idaho schoolhouse

I just watched a public broadcast piece on an artist that shoots masterpieces with homemade pinhole cameras. There are no moving parts, shutters or even lenses. His exposures are in the minutes instead of fractions of a second. His finished works are truly amazing. Your photographed schoolhouse would have been an ideal candidate for one of his shots. Keep up the good work.
