That being the case why not try portraits? That's my background but I've learned to challenge myself to expand my range of interest. When I shoot a portrait I try to get down to the soul level. Try to take your gaze off his eyes.





Since joining this forum I've begun photographing flowers, animals and landscapes. I've dabbled in HDR & panoramic scenes. I wish I was better at birds. Phil is the master of birding along with a number of others. There is a lot of talent on here.

Your not fooling us, you definitely an old hand at photography (I know less of the OLD).

Hey, I turn officially old in 4 more days at 62. I noticed, Dave, that you're unemployed. I haven't work since June of last year when Intel shut down a Fab here and laid me off. I've been living well on unemployment until my Social Security checks start rolling in on July 13th. Then, I officially retire. Works for me!

Intel gave us 18 months notice so I cleared all my bills, bought a new car and scooter and am setup perfectly for retirement. I don't have any monthly payments or bills. It's all part of my master plan.
