They are a good price on Amazon right now £200
The TZ10 was £239 when I ordered the TZ7, that's gone up to £262 now!
There's £30 cashback on the canon sx210 as well...

Go for it Ca - so much easier than having to carry a dslr around, esp when you have the dogs with you and all their stuff. Wouldn't be so bad if they carried their own gear

Current thoughts:
At the mo I feel like I'm missing RAW, and think I may miss the manual modes (aperture/shutter control) if I want to get more creative with some of the shots.
The Canon S90 has those, but only a 3.8 zoom (the TZ7 has a whopping 12x!)
The Panasonic LX3 is another option, a sweet little camera with a stunning lens, but again only 2.5zoom - I love the pictures I've seen with this, even the ones that are grainy... it has a bit of a cult following, and I'm not surprised
They are £280 and £319 - so a fair bit more expensive than the TZ7 (which is £200).
Then there's the Canon G11, but only has 5x zoom - and at £420 it's not cheap. From what I gather, it, and the LX3 are favoured by many serious-togs when they want a compact camera to just walkaround with.
The other option is the Panasonix FZ38 - pretty much the same quality as the TZ7 but with longer zoom and RAW and manual modes... however it is bigger - two and a half times the depth of the TZ7 (but the TZ7 is tiny to begin with anyway, and only the Canon S90 is as small out of this lot).

Hi everyone,
I'm also trying to make up my mind btw Canon SX210 and TZ10 (considering that the TZ8's reputation is not so good) . According to all the reviews I've read, the TZ10 seems to be globaly better than the SX210.
I'm myself moving from a SX200 because I wasn't so happy with it. Now, is the SX210 better?
Please help me decide! Thanks!

Why weren't you happy with the SX200? IQ? If so I'd consider a budget DSLR if you can stretch to it... or a second hand Nikon D40 or similar

I wasn't happy specially with IQ at night or low light environment and I found the SX200 a bit slow.
DSLR are not for me as I looking for a pocket camera but with a good zoom...

Would a Nikon P7000 be out of your budget? Performance will be much better than both of the others you mentioned
