Just had a photoshoot request through...

Its a friend of a friend ( i actually went out with him for a while in primary school)! Not seen him for years though.

This is what he wants...

Quote:
Location-I want to be near water, rocks, tree's,preferably a flowing river/stream. I want to be naked (non-pornographic/nothing on show) on a few of them (Animal like-I want to show the way I feel about the world,an animal trapped in a Human's world), a couple of face shot's?
What do you think????

This is what i was thinking of replying with....
Quote:
TBH iv not done a shoot like that (as i mostly shoot animals and nature!) and it would be a personal challenge.

If your up for it, i can do it at around £50ph. That includes 8 selected images on disk with a licence release on them, travel expenses and and post processing. Your prob looking at around 3hrs shooting time (roughley)

Re: Just had a photoshoot request through...

If you fancy this [ I would run a mile] i suggest you go for it, but take a couple of people with you.

I dont want to scare you but alone in the quiet with a naked man could lead to trouble.

Also what would the legal matters be if someone reported you to the police?

Re: Just had a photoshoot request through...

It could be fantastic - and could get your critical acclaim if the shoot turns out really good. Of course it depends on the subject too, but he does sound like a fiery character.

But I agree with Jols, if you don't know this person perhaps take your friend who suggested this with you (if you trust him) or someone else you trust and/or would feel safe with - or maybe even a fellow photographer, and you both have a crack at it.

Personally, if I was starting out I would be open to doing a few freebies or cut price jobs to get my portfolio of the ground IF I thought it would be a good addition. A lot of the smaller/new companies do this when they start up...

Re: Just had a photoshoot request through...

Is there any way you could do it on private land? Maybe you know someone, it's a long shot but at least you won't get into trouble as he could be done for indecent exposure at the least if you did get caught...

The only people i knw with private land Random are our stable owners. So its only fields. It does have woodland backing onto it but that belongs to the estate. However it does have a stream and very few people walk through there.....

Re: Just had a photoshoot request through...

It sounds like an interesting opportunity for you, but has been said - just look into the legal side of shooting nude portraits outdoors before agreeing to his request

Good luck

Re: Just had a photoshoot request through...

I don't think you'd get arrested as you wouldn't be the one stripping off

Maybe ring a police station say in scotland or somewhere and see what they say? Just come to Wales for the shoot, plenty of nude people up the mountains
(So I've been told!!)
