wow, excellent. Would never have expected this from the bigma. The one I got was extremely soft, and just completely lacking in something. I don't know. I sold it off for about $60. Maybe mine was just a dud.

Thank you! I think maybe a great deal about the Bigma is getting to know its sweet spots. Most of the good bird shots I take now are with it, and that's because I know the rough distance it has to be to get good quality, the right light, the right f stops and shutter speeds. It's not an easy lens to use, but can give good results if you practice with it and get to know it well!
