How do I frame a Tree!

Hi guys, advice please, I have a tree in mind to take a pic of for the weekly theme, the only trouble is where I have to take it from is quite a distance and there is a Buddleia and something else in front of me which will get in the shot at the sides, what I'd like to do is to have these out of focus and the tree in focus, but so far all I've done is the other way round, any ideas on what I should do, or give up and find an easier target Thanks

Re: How do I frame a Tree!

DONT GIVE UP!! The fun and reward in photography is overcoming the challenges!

I take it from reading your thread, you want the foreground thrown out of focus and the background (aka tree) in??

To do this i usually opt for manual focus. Focus on the subject which is furthest away with your aperture set around f/5-10.

This is a quick eg iv done for you - not the most interesting pic in the wrold though LOL

Re: How do I frame a Tree!

Look forward to your attempts - just take a few different angles, try a few different settings, and see what you come back with....

When I saw this thread title - my immediate answer was 'Ring Crimestoppers - and tell them it woz the tree that done it!!'.....
