The Wonders of Photoshop.

Photoshop can be an enemy to photographers. It can turn the most unoffensive photograph into something that insults the eyes upon every veiwing. It can become addictive and out of control like some monstrus beast that needs to be let loose upon every shot you take.

But, on the flip side it can be your best friend turning the ugly duckiling into a beautful swan.

Such is the Jykll and Hyde life of photoshop.

An example of what this program can do for your pictures, when used correctly is shown below.

Before:

After:

Photoshop in my humble opinion is definatly worth the money and i feel its a nessisary part of every photographers kit. Why waste a shot - such as my "before" image when it can be turned into something fantastic and worthy of your portfolio!

Re: The Wonders of Photoshop.

I only have Photoshop Elements - but that delivers enough features for me... I try not to edit pictures excessively - nicer to see them naturally - but agree that sometimes you are in a place where your opportunity to return won't arise for some time - so you have to take a chance on getting your subject, and then play around with the results to improve them... In an ideal world - we'd have lovely weather and lovely skies with perfect lighting every day of every year... But unfortunately most of us live in the UK. So that'll never happen!
