filter mistake !

went out for the day on sunday took loads of photos,goergous day using my new polariser filter ,can you imagine my horror when i got home on the pc ! didnt relise you should rotate them also think the filter too small showing dark corners ! *signed* in the middle of trying to save my pics and a lot of cropping to do!!




any tips on filters ? for next time .
do you change shutter speeds ?

Did you fit the polarising filter on top of an existing UV/Skylight filter? This would result in darkened corners when you'd zoomed out to the lenses widest points.

If you're using auto exposure, the camera should automatically adjust the settings for you... However, your pics do look a tad underexposed - what settings were you using - can you remember?

You're right a polarising filter is one that you turn as you look through the viewfinder in order you get the best looking results - a sort of version of photoshop but at the time you take the picture

With my camera, you have to tell it you are using extension tube and lenses on it.... check the manual so it knows whats on the end?

Just a thought? Although it's probably more for it knowing focal length?

mmm ... i did use the cokin adapter on top of the uv filter CHRIS! will be change MANG i see what you mean with focal length as top pic is 24mm no corner and 18mm have corners !they were taken in aperture mode .
just notices the ones taken in auto are fine phew! will be posts in landscape thread ! took some in auto coz i knew i couldnt trust myself ! lol if only we can see the result properly at the time ,oh well now i know what i want for xmas !image storage and veiwing device and million of other stuff !

hey thanks K ,i did another one in the landscape thread "Nash point" . do you think the sky is fine on that one? i tried to fix it by using gradient tools

They are good hun I think the problem for these was the conversion blew out the sky...
