Photoshop elements. Help and advice.

Photoshop elements. advice.

I have just downloaded photoshop elements on a trial basis to see how I like it. Has anyone had any experience of this package.

I cannot afford Photoshop itself so am looking for alternatives.

Does it work the same way as photoshop i.e would tutorials/help threads for one work the same way for the other?

Re: Photoshop elements. Help and advice.

As far as I remb it is pretty similar, just missing some of the functions.

I think some scanners or other related hardware actually contain a free copy... so it might even be worth buying a new scanner and get it free I'm sure one of the Canon scanners did :-/ Could be worth checking that out..

Re: Photoshop elements. Help and advice.

I use elements and find it very user-friendly, which is good because I'm not the greatest with computers I think there are a few functions missing compared to full photoshop but there are ways round them. I got a book with tutorials in it and that has helped me get to grips with it, and digital photo magazine do a CD-ROM with tutorials on it which is also helpful.

Cheers
