Isn't it possible to shoot one shot in RAW then adjust the exposure stops + & - to suit the range then merge in photomatix ? ? or is that just a cheats way of HDR ? i have the pro 3 version, as yet unused, might have a play around with it sometime.

I've tried that Grant - but the effect isnt anywhere near as good. I dont know why that is.
