I love this series but you might check your exposure. They look a tad underexposed, without the contrast & punch they derserve. I've taken the liberty to post process one to demonstrate my point.

That looks great Bob. I've deduced from my last couple of threads that I need to spend some time sorting out my settings and also my postprocessing. By sorting out I mean learning how to do both properly. Thanks guys for your help, your fantastic (and you can see how much I need to learn! even basics).

Don't be so hard on yourself. You took that shot, you composed it and set the exposure. You just need a bit of experience using Graphic software. Jols jst told me you can get Photoshop Elements 6.0 for just 20 pounds there. It's the only software I use, including what I used to enhance your photo. Consider it.
