Re: Picfolio.com - for Yo! Photographers First :-)

Thanks Melody and Phil

Phil I'm sorry you didn't get a result from that. I don't think Sean has upped the size factors enough yet so to save you more frustration I'll let you know when it's done. The same happened to me - if the file is too big for it it just shows a blank page, then when Sean upped it it loaded fine.

Thanks once again for the help - we'll get it right soon!

Have a good weekend,

Nick

Sorry Kanikula, I'm passing all this info over to Sean (he's the web wizz here!) and I'll let you know soon as he's upped the quotas. I should have put 'Beta' on the site title like Azz did here!

Yep, we've got to make a start somewhere

Only started it a few days ago!

You mentioned black - how do you like the look of this quick visual for a theme?...

Cheers,

Re: Picfolio.com - for Yo! Photographers First :-)

I've had a quick look and think the idea is good, you just need to get a few of the bugs ironed out

The black/grey skin is much nicer for viewing photographs - it makes them stand out better. That is one of the problems with Flickr, the fact it is on a white background.

Re: Picfolio.com - for Yo! Photographers First :-)

Thanks Melody and Greyhawk

I think I'm getting to the root of the problem now - it's actually the server memory allocation for processing scripts; it's normally set low but with having to make intermediate and thumbnail images from huge files it exceeds the allocation. So I'm having to get the technical guys to modify the server to cope with it.

I'll keep you posted
